Hypno-Coaching consultations for your Personal Life

Between the life you're living and the one you want, there's rarely a shortage of ideas. There are projects that stall, decisions that drag on, "one day I'll…" getting older by the year — and, in France over the past few years, a real crisis of purpose running through open-plan offices everywhere. Our coaches, certified through recognized organizations including the ICF, work with you in person in Paris, Strasbourg, Saverne, Montpellier, Saint-Gilles, or by video anywhere in France. With our powerful approach: hypno-coaching, which combines the structure of coaching with hypnosis to lift the blocks willpower alone can't reach.

An honest sort first: coaching, therapy, or a skills assessment

Three approaches, three uses, and a market that isn't always clear.

  • Coaching is for someone who's fundamentally doing fine but wants things to move: a direction, a transition, a project.
  • Therapy treats suffering: a collapsed mood, overwhelming anxiety → a psychologist or doctor first, and we'll tell you so at the first meeting.
  • A skills assessment, finally, is a structured, fundable process that maps your skills and career paths: it complements coaching. The assessment tells you what's possible; coaching (and hypnosis) clears away what's stopping you from getting there.

The real problem: you already know what to do

Person walking through a stone labyrinth by the sea

Sending that email, having that conversation, leaving that job, starting that project… You've known it for months, and you're not doing it.

That's the limit of classic coaching. The perfect plan breaks against blocks it can't see:

  • Limiting beliefs ("not for me," "too late," "I've invested too much to change now").
  • Fear of failure (and its quiet twin, fear of success).
  • Invisible loyalties (surpassing your parents, disappointing whoever funded your studies, leaving "a good situation").
  • An identity running behind the project.

L'Hypnose pour accompagner un CHANGEMENT de VIE
Video transcript

Hello! My name is Anne-Géraldine Lavielle. I'm a hypnotherapist, professional coach and trainer. I regularly work in the business world, providing individual, group and organisational coaching, but I also see clients in my city office and by video conference. My clients often come for both personal and professional issues, because I take a holistic approach, one that looks at the whole person.

Hypnosis is a method we use in the field of brief therapies, in order to cooperate with the person's brain, and more specifically with their unconscious. The magic of hypnosis is that it can set psychological and behavioural changes in motion that can take root over time, because our brain has this capacity to change. It is a method grounded in science, linked to neuroscience, but it is also very creative.

Hypnosis is a good option when you have tried lots of classic methods that have not given results. I also use other approaches such as mindfulness meditation, EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), NLP and art coaching. In particular, hypnosis can help reduce stress and anxiety during a life change. That is what we are going to talk about here. The people who come to my office are above all looking to increase their confidence in themselves and in life, and to reduce the stress and anxiety that a situation of change can bring.

For example, a divorce, a career change, a move far away, a health problem… It is never easy to approach these calmly. The techniques we use help them, in particular, to strengthen their self-confidence, to clarify the goals and motivation that this big change can bring, and also to understand and manage the strong emotions that can lead to distress.

It also helps them cope better with the unexpected and develop their creativity in unfamiliar moments. It also helps them learn to assert themselves, to grieve, and to improve the quality of their sleep. It is often very hard to sleep well when the same questions keep going round in your head. For example, I supported a young woman after a divorce and the death of her father.

After several separations, she was of course very sad, and she ruminated a lot about her past, with regrets and guilt. She went through a depressive period, which is entirely understandable. She was very anxious, which was affecting the way she was raising her young children and her own well-being. In addition, she tended towards emotional dependency and found it hard to live alone.

After several hypnosis and coaching sessions, she felt much better. She also became aware that some of the anxieties she was passing on to her children came from her childhood and upbringing, and even from her family line. She eventually rediscovered the joy of living, was able to launch into new projects and finally see the positive side of her situation. Thanks to these sessions, she feels emotionally lighter, she is growing through this new situation, in her professional life too, and she is gaining independence and self-confidence.

In very practical terms, in my office I first spend time listening to people, really understanding their situation and building an alliance with them. This is essential, because the hypnotherapist's and coach's qualities as a person, such as empathy and kindness, are key. Then everything depends on the person's needs and level of stress. But I can help them, for example, find more serenity, calm and letting go through different methods, positive affirmations and autosuggestion.

This then helps reprogram the person's mind, free them from fears, such as the fear of making a mistake or of the unknown, and from limiting beliefs such as "I'll never manage" or "I'm too afraid of being alone". I can also help them associate a simple gesture, such as touching a finger, with a state of deep inner calm. This is what we call positive anchoring. I can guide the person into deep hypnosis and give them suggestions so that they feel calmer, more confident and able to manage stress.

With all this, they can allow themselves to step out of the roles and constraints that may imprison them and, above all, allow themselves to express their desires, dreams and aspirations, and so create the life they want. When we finish the sessions, we see that hypnosis helps work on psychological reflexes that are deeply rooted in the person. We are not necessarily trying to "cure" the person, but to give them tools to become aware of these mechanisms.

Then the person can practise entirely on their own. For example, relaxation exercises: I teach the client to relax their muscles, starting with the feet and working up to the head. They can also practise guided visualisation: I might ask the person to visualise, for example, a peaceful, safe place. Breathing work, deep diaphragmatic breathing: in this case I teach the person deep breathing exercises, encouraging them to breathe slowly and deeply using their diaphragm.

They can also learn to create self-hypnosis sessions: I pass on a very simple method they can use at home. Generally, after all this, the person may notice changes in their life: more serenity, more ability to take initiative and to dare, and also more ideas for facing life's challenges. Generally, when self-confidence grows, life seems brighter and it is easier to act.

When and how to use hypno-coaching?

These blocks don't respond to reasoning: they get worked on under hypnosis, while coaching structures the action. The plan PLUS the ground beneath it: that's hypno-coaching.

The projects we support most often in France

  • Career change and the search for purpose. The defining shift of this decade: executives who can't stand "making slides" anymore, burned-out healthcare workers, thirty-somethings refusing the path laid out for them. The block is almost never the project itself — it's social judgment ("you have a good situation, why give it all up?"), the security you'd be leaving, and loyalty to the path already built. Coaching structures the transition; hypnosis defuses the real fears.
  • Clarity and direction. "I don't know what I want" is the most common reason people come to coaching. Accessing your real values under hypnosis (not the ones handed to you) and what actually lights you up, beyond what the mind over-analyzes and personality tests already taken three times.
  • Decisions that drag on. Leave or stay, the capital or the countryside, accept or refuse: when pros-and-cons lists have been going in circles for months… We decide differently: living out each option in imagination, listening to what the body already knows, unmasking fear disguised as caution.
  • Taking action. The project endlessly postponed, the book never started, the small business waiting in the wings… Procrastination on big projects has its own mechanisms: perfectionism, a mountain that hasn't been broken into steps, an identity running behind.
  • Balance and boundaries. Relearning to say no, no longer living someone else's schedule, making room for what matters before the body forces the issue (see also our Stress & Anxiety page).

How it works, and when it ends

A clear goal first: measurable, dated, within your control. The first session often turns something vague ("I want to change my life") into a real direction. Then four to eight spaced sessions, two to four weeks apart: the real work happens between sessions, in your actions. And a clear ending stated from the start: successful coaching makes the coach unnecessary, independence (self-hypnosis included) is the deliverable, and support with no end date should raise a flag, here as anywhere else.

Hypno-coaching: framework and limits

Our coaching ethics

"Life coach" isn't a protected title: anyone can call themselves one tomorrow morning, and promises of a "dream life in 21 days" flood social media. Our commitments, plainly:

  • Trained and certified practitioners (ICF, the international reference, recognized hypnosis and NLP schools).
  • No magical thinking: your results will come from your actions, our job is to make them possible.
  • No engineered dependency: an end date planned from the start.
  • An honest sort toward a psychologist or doctor when that's the right field.

Life coach or therapist: how do I decide?

Moving forward or healing: that's the question that decides. A direction to find, a transition, a stuck project → coaching. Real suffering (a collapsed mood, overwhelming anxiety, a difficult experience…) → a psychologist or doctor first. We'll tell you so plainly at the first meeting. The two also work very well one after the other.
