Hypnosis Consultations for your Love Life
Let us set out this principle from the start: you do not change the other person.
What you can change, and it is already enormous, is your own part: the patterns that repeat from relationship to relationship, the fear of abandonment that makes you accept anything, the jealousy that poisons, the arguments on a loop, the trust to be rebuilt after a break-up, and even the fatigue of dating apps that wears down the wish to believe in it.
Our hypnotherapists welcome you in person in Paris, Brunoy, Lille, Strasbourg, Saverne, Voiron, Montpellier, Saint-Gilles, or by video anywhere in France.
Love life matters so much
Our love life has patterns, and patterns can be worked on
"I always fall for the same type." "We always argue about the same thing."
These sentences say something valuable : a love life is not a lottery, it is a system. Our choices, our reactions and our fears within the bond reproduce old learning.
And what has been learned can be relearned : that is the level hypnosis works at.
Not surface resolutions, but the automatisms that choose in your place. For the full picture, see our complete guide.
The damaging scenarios
Emotional dependency: when the other person becomes the oxygen

It is not "loving too much" : it is fearing abandonment to the point where the relationship becomes a matter of survival : dread as soon as the other person is slow to reply, a constant need for reassurance, forgetting yourself entirely so as not to displease, tolerating the intolerable because loneliness is more frightening than suffering. Underneath this fear, almost always : an inner security that was never able to build itself.
Hypnotic work addresses that :
- building the internal base of security that was missing : becoming for yourself the support you are looking for in the other person;
- defusing the panic of abandonment, relearning how to exist in your own right : wishes, limits, territory…;
- and gently revisiting the old scenes where the fear settled in.
The result does not make love lukewarm : it makes it free.
Jealousy: the film your brain shoots without asking you
The twinge when someone finds your partner attractive is human.
Jealousy that poisons is something else : an inner projector running scenarios non-stop, fed today by social media (the suspicious like, the story picked apart, the "seen at 11:47pm"), checks that bring relief for five minutes and feed the machine for weeks, and a relationship being suffocated.
Its root : not an excess of love, a deficit of security : "I am not enough" projected onto the other person, plus, sometimes, an old betrayal that was never digested.
The work acts on all three levels :
- inner security;
- the scenario projector : cutting the film instead of watching it to the end;
- and the checking compulsions : crossing the discomfort of not checking, phone and social media alike.
Our dedicated article sets out that work, see Managing jealousy.
Arguments that go round in circles
Same subject, same lines, same ending : it is almost never the apparent subject that is at stake, it is two wounds activating each other.
Individual work breaks the circle from your side : identifying YOUR trigger (what you really hear underneath the words), defusing its old charge, and learning to say it differently. A reproach turned into a request has a completely different fate (see our pages Anger Management and Self-Confidence).
Just one of the two changing their part is often enough to change the dance.
The case of infidelity : staying or leaving is yours to decide. Our work settles the intrusive images and makes it possible to decide with a clear head.
How hypnosis can support you in your love life
App fatigue: when looking for love wears you out
This is the novelty of the decade, and it fills our practices : the endless swiping, conversations that fade out, ghosting that leaves you without an explanation, the feeling of being a product on an endless shelf, and self-esteem eroding with every match that stops replying.
The work sets things back on their feet : detaching your worth from the metrics (a ghosting says everything about the other person, nothing about you), reclaiming your own criteria (the choice pattern replays online too), pacing your exposure.
And sometimes, rediscovering the wish to believe in it again, which is the real victim of the wear (see our Self-Confidence page).
The routine, the apparent falling out of love, and what it covers
"I love them, but I do not know if I am in love any more" : behind that sentence, there is rarely an ending, more often an erosion.
Hypnosis work can help you reopen what has closed :
- emptying the accumulated resentments (before they decide in your place);
- recovering the way you look : selective attention has started seeing only the faults, and it can be re-educated;
- and reinvesting, because long-term love is less a state than a practice.
And when intimacy has faded along with the rest, our dedicated page takes over (see Female Sexuality and Male Sexuality).
After the break-up: getting through it, then rebuilding
A break-up is a real bereavement, and getting through it is supported on our dedicated page (see Grief & Sadness).
Here, we work on what comes next :
- the ex who still obsesses you (the loops get cut, our dedicated article explains it);
- the trust to give again after having been hurt so much;
- rebuilding after a divorce;
- and the lessons without the scars.
General references on break-ups converge on one point (AlloDocteurs — France Télévisions) : rebuilding is an active process, not a wait — and a process is precisely something that can be supported.
Our approach and its limits
Our support is individual : each person works on their own part, and both partners can come separately, entirely confidentially.
To work together, the right door is couples or marital therapy, a profession in its own right (couples therapists, psychologists, marriage and family counsellors), which we gladly refer people to; the two approaches combine very well.

Frequently asked questions about hypnosis for your love life
It is not an illness : it is an inner security that was never able to build itself, and that gets built now, becoming your own base of support, defusing the panic of abandonment, relearning how to exist in your own right. The work generally takes four to eight sessions, and it does not make love lukewarm : it makes it free, loving by choice rather than out of fear of the emptiness.
Yes, because jealousy is not a character trait but a mechanism : a deficit of inner security, a scenario projector, checks that feed what they claim to calm. Each level can be worked on.
One condition of honesty : if your jealousy controls the other person (phone, going out, accounts), the work starts with stopping those behaviours, and starting it is an act of responsibility.
No, the format wears everyone out : endless choice, ghosting, metrics that turn dating into a marketplace. What can be worked on : detaching your worth from matches and replies, spotting your choice pattern (it replays online too), pacing your exposure. And above all rediscovering the wish to believe in it again, which can be repaired.
Our support is individual : each person works on their own part, entirely confidentially if you both come. For a joint process, the right door is a couples therapist or a marriage counsellor : we gladly refer you there, and the two approaches combine very well.
That decision is yours, and be wary of anyone who would make it for you. Our work makes the decision possible : settling the intrusive images that loop, crossing the wound, finding stable ground again to decide with a clear head rather than a raw one. And whatever the decision, rebuilding is something we support.
Not by Assurance Maladie. However, many top-up health insurance plans cover several sessions a year under a "complementary therapies" allowance. Check your policy; we provide an invoice.
